Fleets Sight Each Other Off Cadiz

Admiral Pierre-Charles Villeneuve led the Franco-Spanish fleet out of Cadiz harbor under orders from Napoleon, unaware that Admiral Horatio Nelson's British fleet lay waiting nearby. Battle of Leipzig Ends

Some 600,000 soldiers from across Europe clashed at Leipzig in what became known as the Battle of Nations.
